Fuck me..... One of my stepsons has planned himself a trip down south later this week to go and catch up with mates, and to get away from his brother - been planning it for a while now and the brother knew that this trip was to get away from him for a bit. Just today the brother booked tickets to head to the exact same town on the same dates etc. Oh boy did things kick off here. Niether of them can control their emotions so there was yelling, tears.....little bit of fisty cuffs, more tears. PRetty much though - at the end of the day, the brother (who just bought tickets) is being a cunt and he bought whatever's coming on himself

Well the brother causing this drama went off to his part-time job last night, never came home and his phone's at the train station - so now my wife's stupid worried he's gone and done something stupid....
There was a moment of instant karma yesterday during all of this. After telling them both that they needed to calm down and not to get violent - one of the twins threw a punch and immediately popped his shoulder out

He was totally being a dick - I kind of feel bad for him cause his old mates want nothing to do with him, but it's all of his own doing. His brother is deperate to get away from him, had been planning this for months explicitly saying that a big part of this trip was to get away from his brother, and then two days before suddenly has tickets to go to the same destination over the exact same time period.....
Plus recently he's been going through a spate of stealing from us and lying.....and all that good stuff. Not a great environment for my 5 & 6 year old - especially when the brothers start going at it in front of them, they get scared, start crying and have to be removed from the room

Last night after the show I made my way down to the 9/11 Memorial. I got off on the wrong stop and wound up walking down Broadway in the rain after midnight for over half an hour. I could have got back on the subway, but I wanted my Holden Caulfield moment.

Got down there and everything was roped off. I didn’t see the pillars of light meant to represent the 2 towers. Who the fuck knows if they were even lit? It was technically the 12th when I finally got there.

Took the subway back uptown to my hotel and spent 20 minutes using a hairdryer to dry my shoes since I had no others and the next day was a travel day.

This morning I got up a little early. I had brought 3 one gallon ziplocks with me on this trip so I could bring some soft pretzels home for my wife and kids. Pretzel guy was outside my hotel at 1 a.m., but he and all his brethren disappear and make room for bagel guys in the morning. I didn’t know this. I walked around for a hour with no luck.

The worst part was I was so busy straining myself to find pretzels that I stepped off the curb and fucking Ned Nederlanderedright into an ankle deep puddle. My whole travel day was with a soaked right foot. So uncomfortable. Figured I’d have trench foot when I got home. I’m such a daft little twat.

Well one of the twins has left to go down south for a while, and is adamant that he's moving out in a couple of months, at which time he will be done with his brother.
As for the other one - my wife seems to be flip-flopping. Yesterday morning I was saying to her that we need to give him a date (sometime around the new year) by which he needs to have his shit together, and she was all - we can't kick him out, he might do something stupid etc.... Then last night when I floated that idea again - she said that she doesn't think she can last that long and she just wants him gone. So that part is a continuing saga
