Huntsville is opening an Amphitheater in a few months and MMJ will be there in September. Looking forward to it since I haven't seen them live in like 10 years.

i had tickets in my cart on Wednesday during the pre-sale, and I just couldn't pull the trigger. I think I'm getting soft.

I did the same thing last year. We’re all getting older.

I can relate to the concert things. I had tickets bought for one a few months ago and backed out like two days before. Just doesn't feel worth the time and effort sometimes, granted I usually have to go 1.5 to 2 hours away for good ones.

I am going to wait a bit on this one. I was able to get Vol. 1 on Amazon for pretty cheap (I think it was $25) so hoping that this one will be listed there and also have a drop eventually.

These days it seems $40 ain’t bad. The new Marcus King album that is 42 mins long goes for $38. It’s getting to be way too much.

Yeah $40 is really good these days for a triple-LP, with a gatefold and everything.

They only had an hour at SHN last night, but they really brought it for this show. I was shocked that they barely played anything off the new album but every song was a massive cathartic release. Favorite set of the festival from yesterday:

Set: Gideon, Spring (Among the Living), Victory Dance, One Big Holiday, Circuital, Love Love Love, Lay Low, Touch Me I’m Going Scream Pt. 2, Wordless Chorus

They ended the Red Rocks run with Wordless Chorus and I couldn't believe what a carthatic jam monster that has become. Looks like a GREAT single set.

Saw these guys in New Haven this past Friday night. My wife and I have seen them maybe 8-10 times? This is a band like Pearl Jam. You go in with your wish list, you leave happy no matter what. We brought our kids this time (lots of people did!). My boy hated it, my two girls liked it. They are so good live. And yes, $25 tix ($40 with fees) for us, too. $200 for a party of 5 which is pretty awesome in 2022 for a band that WILL bring it.

I wanted to go to that show but it just wouldn’t work with SHN the next day. They are quite great live and the comparison is pretty spot on.

I'm seeing them this Saturday and am not super familiar with the newest album. Guess I need to remedy that.
