I was down to guess number 6 and there were only 2 possible words to choose from. I lucked up.

I had all but the 3rd letter on the second guess. I finally lucked upon the correct word on the 6th guess.

I’m no mathematician, but is the average number of guesses MORE than the number of guesses allowed?

Maybe if you didn't get it, they counted it as "7"

I don’t know if I made it tougher than it should’ve been, but it took 6 today after having 3 of the letters in correct position with the second guess.

Just happens sometimes. I had two correct and one incorrect after 3, and got it in 5.
