Sirens kinda kills the momentum and vibe Getaway, MYM, and MFS build/set, it somewhat picks up with the end of Sirens; LB builds it back up, Infallible and Pendulum get things weird; SW gets back to LB style; LTRP takes it bluesy but cheesy; SBM just castrates the record; YM is mellow and good and should be the closer; FD's production and such are great, song is less than mediocre at best, should have been left off along with SBM.

Add in LIR after SW (in place of LTRP), add CC before YM; remove SBM and FD, very good 11 track record or keep LTRP and have a very good 11 track record with one semi-clunker.

It's worth a listen. I think it's an improvement over the last two, although I can't say I'll listen to it much after tonight (if at all).

I have to download itunes though, and I fucking hate itunes...

(I'll probably do it anyway. might as well seal my utter and complete disappointment once and for all)

Thanks. Yours and Kevin's opinions are in the half dozen or so I was keeping an eye out for on this Board. And considering your rankings this doesn't bode well for my appreciation of Lightning Bolt (yet to listen to it).

Agreed. I get a little irritated with his keyboard/synth obsessions but the band writes the songs. BOB was there when PJ was establishing itself as a band. Vs-Yield is easily their greatest era and he was a big part of that.

I downloaded it from TPB. New Pearl Jam is not worth installing itunes for.
