I don't have any other Irish trad. folk music hookups so I'm gonna need you to stick around, yeah.

not so much about saving the $40 entrance fee, but only out a $3 transaction fee if things go sideways toddler wise and we need to jet.
This worked out great. Kid was much more engaged and well behaved than our last visit way back in January. We saw basically everything that didn’t cost extra; she was even happy to sit still for the Beluga show.

It wasn’t too crowded since it’s a weekday, though I wasn’t sure because of the free entry offer. Did cough up $30 for parking, but that’s basically unavoidable because public trans to the museum campus remains stupid in this town.

our condo building needs the roof replaced. my condo is the optimal place for the contractor to place scaffolding to support a garbage chute from the roof. my concern is the scaffolding would mainly be placed on top of our side yard's artificial turf, which based on past projects, will almost certainly be damaged and isn't cheap to repair.

the contract stipulates that the contractor won't be responsible for any damage, and our HOA bylaws essentially state the same. fortunately, i've convinced the HOA board to cover any repairs needed in this instance, since our unit will be taking the brunt of any potential damage. so, tiny victory (that could save me $500-1000).

The footy team I've supported for as long as I can remember won their grand final today. Good stuff.

We’re out of town for the weekend, so thought I’d stop at the nearby grocery for a 375 ml travel bottle of Bulleit. Wasn’t having any luck, then I see one all by itself on a barrel - looked like maybe it was part of some promo booth. I grabbed it and took it to checkout… $2 haha. The cashier seemed pretty confused, but just went with it. Happy birthday to me.
