It's no Marco's.

Marco's is really good. I didn't realize they were a national chain.
Marco’s is garbage
We’ve never had anything from there that was good.

You must be thinking of a different Marco's. The one we're talking about is a pizza place, not a Mexican restaurant.

This thread prompted me to suggest Chili's to my wife the other day and that was received with a simple, curt "no".

The last time I had Chili's (2015?) there was so much sodium in the food I could feel my arteries throbbing.

Were we supposed to be under the impression this thread was an original Jorge idea?

They may’ve had them, but I’m taking exception to the specialized in part.

Specialize is strong, but it felt marketed to be part of their identity.

guys, there's a chili pepper in the chili's logo.

it's a Mexican restaurant that happens to serve other things...like ribs.

The Google description doesn't really clear things up -

"Family-friendly chain serving classic Tex-Mex & American fare in a Southwestern-style setting."

Dad, I don’t know how to break this to you but when I go to a Chinese restaurant and they want me to know that a particular dish is spicy, they use a picture of a …. Chili.
