watching Jamie Clayton on Sense8 and identifying hard with her story is what made me take the leap and come out as a trans woman, so even though Hellraiser is not a franchise I've paid much attention to, I'm pumped for this movie and it looks great

Godammit, everytime there´s a jumpscare they throw that stupid high pitch scream. I dont particularly like Flanagan style but I loved Midnight Mass.

Making my way through the Halloween sequels after not having watched them for a decade or so because…why not. Started with 4, which is marginally better than I remembered and weirdly seems on the verge of turning into a road comedy when Loomis is chasing MM to Haddonfield. 5 has a few interesting elements but is ruined by bizarre choices across the board and this series’s absolute instance on killing off anyone the audience may have grown to even slightly identify with.

Had to pause 6 last night about a third of the way in, watching the producer’s cut for the first time. I don’t remember what was and wasn’t in the theatrical cut besides the ending apparently being very different, but so far I’m surprised by how much I dislike it. When they played these films on AMC every October, 6 used to be my favorite of the later arc, but man it feels like an off-brand DTV release rather than an actual Halloween sequel, and it’s depressing to see Donald Pleasance struggling through his last performance. Hopefully things will pick up with this one.

No interest in revisiting H2O and I do not acknowledge the existence of Resurrection. I doubt I’ll watch the RZ remakes either, didn’t care for them in the theaters and I have less tolerance for his whole aesthetic these days.

I saw them all a few years back, if you wanna read that its on the Halloween 2018 thread. 4 is pretty good yeah..5 is a mess. I still really like 6, mainly because it goes to that supernatural place of the cult and stuff.

H20 is a good slasher movie, and Curtis is amazing on it. The whole side of Laurie being alcoholic was pretty cool.

I didnt like Halloween Kills, I thought it was one of the worst of the franchise. The characters pushed the limits of stupidity like I've never seen before in a slasher.
I am excited for Halloween Ends though. Im going to watch it with friends and have a drinking game to see how many times they say: It Ends Tonight!.

Picking H6 back up. People just cannot keep their bearings when there is laundry hanging on a line in these movies.

I definitely went in to this a bit in the Halloween thread but the bold just took me out of it so much that there was no going back. I'll watch Ends but will not be trucking out to a theater for it.

I can't wait for this, haven't heard a single bad thing said

a couple of triggering elements from what I've heard, I'm hoping they aren't grossly focussed on

Bodies Bodies Bodies was really good. A nice uppercut to zoomers and digital culture.

Are you people going to see Dahmer? I usually avoid this serial killer movies and docs, don´t really understand the fascination, but this caught my attention, the trailer is extremely Fincherian.
