Apparently we've learned nothing about the risk/reward trade off in gain of function research.
To find out why, Moss and his colleagues swapped dozens of clade 2 genes, one at a time, into clade 1 virus, hoping to see it become less deadly, but with no luck so far. Now, they are planning to try the opposite, endowing clade 2 virus with genes from its deadlier relative.

What are your thoughts on the mention of the risk vs benefit to young people? Seems like the mention of any risk originating from the vaccine has always been talked around in the media.

The lack of human trials prior to licencing was a horrible president to set, but as is, it's hard to argue that the risks aren't low enough for, at least, a permissive recommendation. Like, if you want this vaccine, you and your doctor can decide.

California is working on passing a law so you can snitch on your doctor for providing 'disinformation' if you disagree with their assessment. Then they run the risk of their license getting pulled.

Of course there's no objective criteria for any of this, so the process is the punishment. What doctor would run the risk of not defaulting to vaccines for everyone?

How could the Medical Board take your license for recommending vaccines that they, themselves endorse?

Deciding between yourself and your doctor allows the possibility that they might recommend against it, correct?
