I think you misread that, champ. 2003 had a massive media push for war from the media. 'Member Weapons of Mass Destruction and UN resolutions that Iraq was not in compliance with?

There's always been talking points. Blue checks are just the clearest way of pointing out their disseminators.

The funniest part of Mickey's argument is that "white adjacent" complies with his standard, especially when applied to Asians. (Not gonna fix that autocorrect "A")

Their point was that white is generally seen (or should be seen) as a descriptor and not a specific identity category, whereas Black designates a more cohesive identity and/or community. Not an unusual position to take, one you can even search for on Google:

https://www.cjr.org/analysis/capital-b- ... eguide.php
How is "Whiteness" or "White adjacent" merely a descriptor and not a category? White adjacent seems to be a category that acts out whiteness.

What I love about the Asian adoption of wokeness is that the variety of Asian politicians has been whittled down to about two. Moderate Asians that actually want policing and woke Asians that parrot all that white progressive shit. Neither have been super successful yet, but I look forward to the day a former ARVN Lieutenant (or their kid) makes state office in Texas on an explicitly anti communist platform

once again: you idiots would not be reacting the same way if white were capitalized and black wasn't.

It's not about being mad/triggered or anything like that anyway. It's just a simple acknowledgement of the real reason why a tiny handful of devious people decided to capitalize one and not the other while hiding behind false reasons for doing so.

I always capitalize I, for the same reason one should capitalize God or Him when referring to God.
