As great as some of his throws may be, I have to say he looks very physically overwhelmed out there. He looks like a ragdoll every time he’s touched by a big fella. Have to wonder if he just isn’t cut out for this, if he recovers

He probably barely got hit in high school and at Bama.
not that he, or anyone deserves to be hit like that, but it looked to me like he held onto the ball too long on that play
size aside - the QBs that last in the league get rid of the ball, don't take hits, throw the ball away when it's not there
i don't 'blame him' for what happened, again it's awful ... but people gotta get rid of the ball

true, and it's not like this is only the 1st time he's done this, leading to a disastrous injury.. it's just the way he plays the game and apparently a career threatening hip injury wasn't enough to deter him. It's like he thinks he's super man out there trying to make things happen at any expense. Josh Allen barely gets away with it but that's because he's an actual buffalo
not that it would've prevented that injury, but why don't they mandate that the mushroom padding be added to the helmets at all times? it looks funny for sure, but it can only help matters.

I am deeply suspicious of the idea that he was well enough to leave the hospital last night.

I agree. The way he was seized up and had to be carted off the field. At least keep him overnight for observation. But I am no medical expert. Could be a weird situation with his body where everything is actually OK now. Maybe it's a God thing, as he's such a man of faith and all.

Idk. I don't claim to know anything about head injuries. Seems like a lot of people are pretending to be experts today because it outwardly looked so bad. With the tremendous amount of attention and scrutiny that this is getting, the doctors at the hospital would have every incentive to be *more* cautious than necessary for the sake of appearances. Isn't is possible that these medical professionals felt comfortable sending him based on their experience with head injuries and the tests they gave him? I admit it was surprising to hear that they released him last night but it seems strange to me to jump right to something nefarious going on with their decision to discharge him. Maybe we'll find out more and it was a mistake or the NFL put pressure on them to release him (but again, why? Seems like a horrendous idea even putting aside ethics.) and that Mike McDaniel and team and independent doctors are all awful human beings but man I'd just rather wait and see what info comes out before jumping to conclusions.
