Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

Still, time and experience can change your point of view. It is not wrong if you initially thought No Code was just ok, and now love it, or thought Rogue One was good, but think it’s brilliant. Sometimes rewatching a movie can give you a different experience, for better or worse.

Ah, you really want to talk about it? Now I have to go back and watch it again. It just made me hate TROS less.

Well nevermind then. I'm glad you hate TROS less. That's all that matters. We really don't have to talk about it. I just thought that's what you wanted.

It brought me to forgive what I considered weak story telling in TROS, when you look at all of Star Wars as a sci fi serial collection that sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't. I'm not sure why I had to have everything fit between TLJ and TROS, but don't feel the same need for OB1 to fit with ANH.

Accepting that parts 7-8-9 don't make any logical sense because they're part of a larger, vaguely serialized property is the epitome of the tail wagging the bantha.

That exactly what happened with the Prequels. People love that horseshit now.

I think people have come around to the plot of the prequels. But the movies are stanky trash.

I was always fine with Revenge of the Sith.

but that first and second prequel were rough going

I really enjoyed it, saw it twice in the cinema, and once at home.

I saw it twice at the cinema too; second time Imax, and that was a very loud movie.

It was fun to see all of the ships come save the day. So many Easter eggs.

Twice in the theaters and four times at home, so far.

The movie is pure bonkers pulp magic with a heart of fucking gold. The performances are great. There's a real Saturday Morning Serial Adventure pace to it. Poe and Zorii! Rey and Ben! Luke raising the X-Wing! Leia's becoming one with the force! The whole final act! The sky battle and the stuff in the throne room! The lightsaber battle of the Death Star remains! Han's final scene! Horses in a space battle! Dark Rey! Super Gross Palpatine!

I could go on and on. This movie rules!
