Track your Backspacer/Lightning Bolt hybrid album

Ok, I'm going to demonstrate my powers of premature ejaculation here.

We've only heard 5 (7) songs off the new album but already I feel like I'm ready to replace certain BS songs to make a better album. While there's a good indication that Lightning Bolt is not going to be Backspacer mk. II, I can definitely see the "logical extension" and feel that these songs would sit well together.

It'll all change in the weeks to come as we hear all the tracks, I'll be delighted to be doing this again in a month and taking MORE BS songs out to replace with new ones. But for now, from what you've heard, track out your hybrid album...

I would hope that 3 or 4 or 5 of Sirens, infallible, pendulum, my fathers son, and yellow moon are good enough to replace speed of sound and future days here, and give this theoretical album some real depth. That would actually create a very, very good 13-15 song record, one in which I could accept the arrangements and production.

Of course, it would have only taken about 7 years to make it. Just think of what they did in the studio during any 7 year period from 91-2002. Take any 7 year stretch, and they had 3x-4x the quality output. But, I digress...

Why dont you just put 'Lightning Bolt' on 10 times since that seems to be your taste. And throw 'Nothingman' on for a finish. Just so it looks like you're thinking outside the box

this was my list. I don't think I'd add sirens. 13 songs is a good number and I think I'd rather have these other songs. I still don't have sirens nailed down though
