Ive found this 'complete' set of demos, outtakes and b-sides. Some released stuff and some unreleased stuff. Highlight for me is the UP outtake 'Im in Love'..

Enjoy..

I saw people talking about Amazon.uk having had up vinyl pre-orders for Accelerate, Reveal and Around The Sun.
I looked, but couldn't find anything

i saw the amazon.co.uk listing pages, so they were definitely up, also including collapse into now. didn't realize they got taken down. up the album wasn't a part of the listings.

edit: here's a reddit thread about it https://www.reddit.com/r/VinylReleases/ ... l_reissue/

Thanks for sharing. Great show, spinning it now.

I think I've told this story before.

When Monster came out in 1994, I was about 17 in high school.

My REM fandom was hitting peak levels and I was all excited about the new album and the electric guitars, etc.

I then got made fun of because some guys in my grade were making jokes about the rumors Michael Stipe was gay.

At that time I don't think he had confirmed it.

I remember - VERY BRIEFLY - doubting my fandom. Please know that I was 17 and didn't know any better.

However, I eventually told those kids to fuck off and that the music was awesome.

I then blasted Flowers of Guatemala for them. Ok, maybe not the most bad ass song at the time but I loved it.

My daughter is constantly singing away to herself and messing up the lyrics to The Great Beyond, It Happened Today and Man on the Moon. It makes me happy

Stripe’s lyrics have always been somewhat cryptic, and the band has largely eschewed easy hooks in favor of material that demands repeat listens to appreciate. Perfectly rated!
They remind me of Barry Sanders, kinda retiring way too early, but still good for them. Well said, Trag.

this is one of the worst posts i've seen in a long time. there fan base is evenly split between sexes, and I assume Stipe coming out in the 1990s led to them having more popularity in the LGBTQ+ population. You also lumped Led Zeppelin and The Police together. Both both great bands, but Led Zeppelin is borderline mythic, while The Police were a fun band during the 1980s. I don't think The Police are nearly as good as REM, which illustrates my point. Underrated.
