Beating a dead horse here but imagine had those moments come after 1.5 to 2 full seasons of development. So many truly great moments in this show they’re undercutting with all the time jumps.

I understand this POV, for sure, but if they were moving that slowly, we'd be looking at 6-7 seasons of this show, at a minimum. Not a bad thing per se, but I've heard the goal of 5 seasons thrown around (not anything official, just rumblings in the industry) which HBO probably wants so they can move onto the next project more quickly.

I don't really want 1-2 seasons with kid actors. The time jumps make sense to me given the budget and everything else.

I don’t care about what goes on at court during peacetime for 15 years tbh. I guess I would appreciate developing the Harwin Strong relationship, Daemon and Laena’s marriage.

For me it was when Daemon came to help him up the steps.

Have yet to see a credible source say this, but apparently the crown falling wasn’t intentional, but Matt Smith and Paddy went with it
