Cop has a decent chance of getting re-hired after arbitration. He issued a lawful command, "feared for his life" because the car door moved towards him as the driver fled, etc.

Kid might have been better off if he just stayed where he was. Treat cops like wild dogs, try not to spook them.

With my posting history, how did you read approval of the cop's actions into that? Cops get reinstated after doing horrible things all the time. Their unions are too powerful and police departments are pretty sloppy in their firing procedures. I speak of how things are not how I'd prefer them to be.

this is actually the walmart store i shop on the weekends. thankfully i go in the early morning

the gist of the story is apparently two young fellas got into an argument and one shot the other. two guys were in a car and heard the commotion and ran to see what they could do to help. in the midst of trying to identify himself the victim was shoved violently to the ground by one of the cops and hit his head on the ground and had seizures. the hearsay part is his fiance tried to perform cpr but was unsuccessful.

the family of the victim (and fiance) have lawyered up
