[bctrack][/bctrack]I did 5 miles today, at about 11 min per. I paused for ten seconds around the 2 miles mark to take this picture of the changing colors

Get it. It's ideal weather here also.Malloy wrote:i hated running in the summer (which as you know extends through the end of october) when i lived in texas. it's perfect running weather in chicago right now. might try to go out on wednesday night.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:3.5 miles at 9:44 pace. I only walked from 3.20-3.23. It sometimes feels nice to just go slow and steady. The weather right now helps immensely also. The heat and humidity kill me. I'm going to lose months of progress every year, it seems.

You are my idol.epilogue wrote:After 7 straight days of working out (some running, some weight lifting/cross-training), I finally had a day off this past Saturday. Then I ran 5 on Sunday and 5 again this morning. Both clocked at about a 9:30 pace. But I didn't even get 24 hours rest between runs. So my legs are tired af right now.

Walked half a mile, ran a mile, walked half a mile, ran another mile. That equals 3 miles.

Re: The Running Thread
Did 7 yesterday @ a 9:21 pace.
I'm already up and dressed and about to head out for a quick recovery run. But man I'm fucking tired.

Re: The Running Thread
I'm running a 5k in the morning. I haven't really "trained" and when I signed up a few months ago I did so with tempered expectations. I'm not really trying to go for a PR or anything. I just don't want to feel like i'm going to die after 2 miles.

Re: The Running Thread
I thought about doing 5 miles today. But, again, legs are tired and it was meant to be an easy recovery run. So I stopped at 4 miles and walked home. Felt pretty good overall.

I bet you have to stop to cross roads and such eh? Makes your pace even more ball so hard.epilogue wrote:I thought about doing 5 miles today. But, again, legs are tired and it was meant to be an easy recovery run. So I stopped at 4 miles and walked home. Felt pretty good overall.

Re: The Running Thread
Usually just in the first mile getting to the park. Or again in the last mile if I'm running home. Most of the time I only have to stop once or twice, though in either direction.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I bet you have to stop to cross roads and such eh? yeah buddy. I was super sick on the 21st and it knocked me all the way out for a week. Took me another week to feel better. Last time I went out, the 10th, I did five miles and it was the first time my lungs felt normal againlennytheweedwhacker wrote:You still running? The Argonaut wrote:woot woot

Re: The Running Thread
Got myself another sub-29 minute 5k this afternoon. Not a PR, but close. It was very hard!
