I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. With all the CMc talk and the new book coming soon, I am going to give the Border Trilogy another try. Thought it was all new to me, but Goodreads tells me I read All the Pretty Horses in 2011.

Y'all have any thoughts on Richard Hugo? I know nothing about him but his book The Triggering Town (lectures and essays on poetry and writing) is just sitting here in the office. Worth a read?

I read excerpts from that in college and had downloaded it last year in the hopes of giving it a full read.
