Went the furthest i've been without walking - 4.35. Was going slow of course, but finished the last .35 at a 8:00 pace somehow. Overall pace was 11:00.

Thank you. To be honest, my patience and restlessness struggled by halfway through. I need to do more runs like this though. Not worry or think about pace. The Argonaut wrote:That's very impressive, I like it

Do you listen to anything on a run? I'm almost always listening to a long interview podcast when I'm out there

Interesting. I guess my runs are usually short enough that it's not a big issue.Chris_H_2 wrote:This is the No. 1 reason that I hate running. My anxiety level goes through the roof.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:To be honest, my patience and restlessness struggled by halfway through.

Re: The Running Thread
When I used to live near downtown awhile ago, I would try to run along the lakefront. I would have a turnaround point that I could see because the path curved out towards the lake, and I would always be cognizant of far away it still was. It felt like those dreams where something keeps getting further away the more you tried to run to it. I hated every second of it.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Interesting. I do get that. I’m always cognizant of how far I’ve gone or have left because of all the landmarks or distance intervals I’ve learned in my running areas. I wish I could just go and not think.Chris_H_2 wrote:When I used to live near downtown awhile ago, I would try to run along the lakefront. Did you like the running itself or did it just feel laborious?Chris_H_2 wrote:Not far at all (maybe 1 1/2 - 2 miles tops).lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I do get that. Re: The Running Thread
That’s how I used to be. I was fast but had zero endurance. I still struggle with that somewhat as well as it feeling like a chore a lot, but a good run does feel rewarding. Kinda like that one good golf shot I hit each round. Just one.Chris_H_2 wrote:it was a total chore. i felt so guilty because i thought something was wrong with me.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Did you like the running itself or did it just feel laborious?Chris_H_2 wrote:Not far at all (maybe 1 1/2 - 2 miles tops).lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I do get that.
