I've stopped going because the price has gone through the roof and the service and food have gone to shit.
This is the mostly reason for me too
I spent $18 on me and my kid at Taco Bell the other day. On three items. Couldn’t believe it.

There are a couple people like this in my family. It drives me nutty. Prisoner is the right word, I always feel like a prisoner. I'm currently hiding in the pantry from a "story" that began before dinner, lasted throughout, through dessert, no end in sight

I worked with a guy recently whose horrible habit was describing, in excruciatingly long winded detail, memes that he'd seen lately

Look, I'm no natural storyteller. I'm more than a little goofy and I'm sure I've been guilty of going into too much detail when I talk about something that I'm really into at that moment. But I've never in my life just monologued for forty minutes. It's truly astounding that this is even possible for a person to do.

It's over now. I don't know. It's tough. I'm a quiet, kind of shy guy, so I can appreciate people who are not that. Who fill the space that I might leave open. But there's a difference between that and just lecturing with no end.

It's why we're such good friends. I fill your space.

My mom can talk forever. Pretty sure she’s also losing her hearing, which has made it worse, because she’d rather talk to fill the space than struggle to listen.

i love my dad to death. but he has this annoying habit of adding onto whatever you say to always sound like an authority about everything, most of the time having no idea what he's talking about. example:

my mother to me: "do you need to keep adding charcoal to your ceramic grill to keep it hot?"
me: "you shouldn't, unless you're cooking something for a really, really long time. it maintains and holds the same temperature"
my father, unprompted: "yeah, it should last you at least an hour, sometimes more."*

*Note: my father has never cooked on a big green egg or kamado joe and has no clue how they work. Also note: the charcoal lasts WAY longer than an hour dad.

I feel like last night broke something in me. I don't remember how normal conversations are supposed to function.

Bart - yeah, walk-in pantry off the kitchen. Maybe ten feet by six feet? I can measure it later

I know there are at least three cans of diced tomatoes and one can of petite diced tomatoes. I don't think there are any whole tomatoes, though.
