I've found that the part of the interview where I express my love for Microsoft Excel is often the only part where I don't feel like I'm bullshitting and lying

I’ve been tapped to do some potential consulting work, let’s see if it goes anywhere.

It’s not too involved time wise, so I’m willing to see where it goes. I’m also thinking it’d be good for the kid to go to daycare a couple days a week next year for the socialization aspect, so something like this could be good to fill in those days.doug rr wrote:you have enough on your platespike wrote:I’ve been tapped to do some potential consulting work, let’s see if it goes anywhere.

Seriously?wease wrote:Not a single one showed.
You have any idea why?
Are these people who individually applied to a job listing? Or being sent through a recruiter?

Applied to a job listing. I spoke with each of them either Thurs or Fri last week and set the appointments.bodysnatcher wrote:Seriously?wease wrote:Not a single one showed.

I texted one when she was about 7 minutes late to see if she was coming and she told me no, her interview was tomorrow.

Do you do phone screens first? The ones I’d first have a ten min convo with over the phone seemed to always show up.

I do. And I had a great conversation with her. That’s why I texted her.

My god. These fucking people.
Had an interview scheduled for 9:00 this morning. I have meetings every Tuesday from 10-Noon so I scheduled her with enough time to be finished by 10. She shows up at 9:42 and kept trying to tell me that it was at 10. WTF is wrong with these people?

Amazing. Ask her ten minutes of questions, make your meeting, then toss her resume.

Isn’t there an email or something with the interview time that you can just point to?
