He's done some other shit minimizing the Armenian genocide, but specifically choosing "The Young Turks" to show how edgy you are is a look. Turkish nationalism is kinda hilarious considering the country is almost entirely ethnically Greek. I believe they have an ongoing spat with 23 and me over this issue

Cenk was explicitly an Armenian genocide denier when he was younger. Allegedly changed his tune, but the tie in to Turkish Nationalism (I don't think Rod Stewart is Turkish) is interesting. There are how many other ways to refer to activists/ revolutionaries?
