This thread reminded me that I hadn't cracked open this LP yet, so here we are:

Really on an OR kick lately. I ordered the BSB anniversary LP, and the package is just gorgeous, and it sounds great. Also got the Dream in the Dark LP set---again, just a wonderfully detailed set with awesome music.

Volumes 1 and 3 were really good. I think the 2nd half of Vol. 1 may be my favorite run so far, with some great versions of some killer songs, including Otis Redding and a slow version of For Real. Volume 3 is straightforward performances of song from the Black Sheep Boy era, but ain't nothing wrong with that.

Vol. 2 was good, but it was from very early in their career, so the sound quality was a bit dicey. But it was nice to hear some songs I wasn't so familiar with.

I’ve been listening to them lately and thought about bumping this thread. I’m not sure I can pick a favorite between this and the next two albums.
