This actually happened to me again this week, the fat got softer and jiggly then disappeared.Coach wrote:This is what happened to me. It's never happened before, but my face felt like it got bigger, more jiggly the more weight I lost. I think what happened is this: https://www.meno-power.com/menopause-we ... u-lose-it/
CONCLUSION : DOES FAT GET SOFTER BEFORE YOU LOSE IT?
Yes, your fat may start to feel softer and more jiggly as you start to lose bodyweight. However, it’s not due to some magic whoosh effect but can be several different things.
The bottom line though is that if you measure yourself, especially around the waist, and things are shrinking, you are moving your health in the right direction. Stick to a healthy diet with natural foods, low carbs and lean protein and you will start to see results.
Keep going and you will start to see more results on the scales and a gradual improvement in your health.

Back up to 155 today.Coach wrote:I am down from 165 to 153, so I met my revised goal weight of 155. I am going to continue with this and the new goal is 150 plus adding muscle and more toned.
When I have my daughter for the weekend, I can't get to the gym and I think that's setting me back.
Weekends in general are tough.
Back at it tonight.

I can tell you that the key moment was when I added lifting weights to the cardio.

Yeah, that's what I did. Elliptical and then lift. One day I do arms, the next back, shoulders, etc.warehouse wrote:if you wanna get nuts you can combine weight lifting and cardio at the same time.

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
give yourself a time limit and see how many reps you can do in that limit. do jumping jacks/squats in between sets. supersets are great, too

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I like this, I always get caught up on having the same number of reps every set but why not push it. I will add this to the mix for Friday. Tomorrow is a day off.warehouse wrote:give yourself a time limit and see how many reps you can do in that limit. do jumping jacks/squats in between sets. supersets are great, too
Do you believe in taking days off? A little rest helps, according to my googling.

yeah man, you have to rest or you will hurt yourself eventually. even if you just take a walk instead of running/lifting, your body needs to recover. also, stretch. i think stretching is just as important as anything else.

I am religious about stretching even though I am not very flexible.

My legs have felt better after running since I’ve stopped stretching as much beforehand. Kinda odd.

Yeah I should probably do that. My last two runs have resulted in the normal leg fatigue.Coach wrote:Some people warm up a bit and then stretch....this made me think of that.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:My legs have felt better after running since I’ve stopped stretching as much beforehand. Kinda odd.

Re: The Weight Loss Thread
I hurt my groin last week and could use a rub, Lenny. I've been off it for a few days and will give the elliptical machine a go tonight. I've been stuck on 154 pounds and need to get to 150 and then just maintain from there. Thanks, your Coach.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Just you.Coach wrote:Do you have someone in your life who can rub your legs?lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Yeah I should probably do that.
