On the original N64 cart? I remember some of those levels moving at 10 fps.
Yup. Not too bad in the slowdown department. I remember worse on the N64.
My "slowdown" was caused by a semi broken analogue stick which explains why I couldn't beat an early part of Conker 64.
The analog sticks would get so crusty after while. What was wrong with yours?
I'm not sure. I don't think this was mine. I had a coworker give me a box of old stuff a while back. I'm guessing that the analogue gears are worn down which leads to plastic dust build up. I would hold the analogue all the way up but would be slowly walking. But sometimes I would move at the speed I should.
Or this could have been player 2's controller. Lol.
I definitely have better controllers. I definitely have new N64 controllers.

Now onto Plague Tale: Requiem.
Did you play the first Plague Tale?
I did. Played it this summer and loved it. Excited to see what they do to improve.
What game would you compare it to?
Hmmm that’s tough. It’s a pretty stealthy game and there isn’t a ton of combat until really later in the game. It’s very story focused with puzzles thrown in as well. There are so few stealth games out there that it’s hard to think of a comparison.
I beat Pentiment last night. I can see why it got 10/10 reviews and I tend to agree. Fantastic writing, I loved the art style, and your choices and investigation did matter. It’s not a game for everyone but I loved it.

Is it similar to Disco Elysium?

Honestly have never played it but I listened to the director of the game say he was influenced by that game.

I'll buy Pentiment once it gets a physical release.
