Ah cool.
You’re gonna love both.
Andor is doing something beautiful and a bit profound for Star Wars though. Be ready.

I can't stop thinking about that monologue at the end of last week's episode.

Re: Star Wars: Andor (Disney+)
And what do you sacrifice?
Calm.
Kindness. Kinship.
Love.
I've given up all chance at inner peace. I've made my mind a sunless space.
I share my dreams with ghosts.
I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there's only one conclusion, I'm damned for what I do.
My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they've set me on a path from which there is no escape.
I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost and by the time I looked down there was no longer any ground beneath my feet.
What is my sacrifice? I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them.
I burn my decency for someone else's future.
I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see.
And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude.
So what do I sacrifice?
Everything!
Calm.
Kindness. Kinship.
Love.

Re: Star Wars: Andor (Disney+)
skarsgard has just been great to watch this whole series. the short scene in one of the early episodes where he's putting on his shop costume and getting in character was excellent, and it's all just movement and expression, no words. every time he is on screen i am glued. it was that way in chernobyl, too.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

Re: Star Wars: Andor (Disney+)
Ep 7 is a bit of a bridge episode. It's way more "stand alone" and sets up the next arc. You should watch that one now.daft twat wrote:Watched the first 6 eps today and loved it. This show is meant to be seen three at a time. They should release them that way every 3 weeks for season 2. Build anticipation and make it event tv. I will wait on 7-9 until the weekend before 12 comes out, and then I’ll do 10-12 the day of that release.
That one dude’s mom is like a female Uncle Leo.
Then do 8-10 as they are a designed arc, like 1-3 and 4-6. Then you can do 11-12 together since they're designed that way, too.

Y'all acting like you weren't expecting this from Beau fucking Willimon!Monkey_Driven wrote:I can't stop thinking about that monologue at the end of last week's episode.
Finally caught up. This show is still wonderful. But I will say -- and maybe I'm being hyper critical -- but I thought Serkis was way over the top through much of ep 10. And the aforementioned final monologue works better, for me, on the page than in Stellan's mouth.
Otherwise? No notes.
