The Last Shift. Lovely little movie, beautiful soundtrack. I love Richard Jenkins.

Sorry to Bother You.. shocking and hilarious, but kinda dumb. 6.5/10 horse cocks

i searched the board for others' comments on this movie. Surprised some of you think it's so brilliant. I get that you love its ideas, but I do not agree there is anything brilliant about this. Slightly better than most dumb stoner comedies in my mind.

I thought House of Games was a parody title.

I think it's probably underrated in the shadow of GFII.

The speech about the Godfather in White Lotus S2 really hit home for me.

If that means you don’t like The Godfather or have bad things to say about it I don’t think we can be friends anymore.

Been watching some classic Norwegian movies. Feel that it’s a rich movie history for a small country.

Also saw Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. Really enjoyed that.

Still got plenty of 2011 movies to go. Will finish and start on 2012 by the end of the year.

wait, how is The Godfather underrated? Letterboxd has it at #5 on the list of top narrative features. It's #2 on the IMDb Top 250. It was #7 on the 2012 Sight and Sound Director's poll and #21 on the critics poll. I doubt those numbers will drop when the 2022 list is released. The Wikipedia page "List of films considered the best" mentions The Godfather multiple times. If you google "is The Godfather undderrated?", Google doesn't even have any results for you; the whole page is about Godfather III.

Underrated it is not.

I think Malloy just hadn't seen it in a few years and forgot how good it was. So he thought everyone else had forgotten, too. It's a little like that time my dad cleaned the coffee pot by scrubbing it instead of just rinsing it out and then proudly stated that "no one had ever thought to clean it like this before", even though my mom always cleans it thoroughly.
