I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Just finished it. I've been watching a lot of The Office lately, so, dramatic Steve Carrell was an extra level of disbelief I needed to suspend to take him seriously. But it's a really good movie. Chalamet really is a great actor. It tells a story, it has a message. It's well made. Tear jerker, especially as a parent.

Yeah Carrell is really good. It's just The Office that led me astray for a bit.

When I went to see The Menu they were having a screening of Bones and All across the hall. We walked up and there were these folks outside with chairs and cards and they were all, "Are you here to see Bones and All?!" and I was like, "No, sorry."

And they looked at me and my wife like we had each had two heads, and all of our heads insulted a different member of their family in a new way. "Oh..." they said and walked away.

Turns out, they wanted feedback from the audience after the screening. Man, I wish I'd had tickets to see it right then.

The unbearable weight of massive talent. Just when I thought I’ve had enough cage, he goes and does something like this.

True. A bit different than what I was expecting and I wasn't completely enamored, but it was fun enough.

I'm catching up with some 70s classics Ive never seen:

- Mean Streets
- Picnic at Hanging Rock
- Lizstomania
- House of Mortal Sin
- The Night Porter
- The Toolbox Murders

Definitely my favorite decade.
