You think you're joking but you really have no idea. That's not a brag.

O, I got a zoo, I got a menagerie, inside my ribs, under my bony head, under my red-valve heart—and I got something else: it is a man-child heart, a woman-child heart: it is a father and mother and lover: it came from God-Knows-Where: it is going to God-Knows-Where—For I am the keeper of the zoo: I say yes and no: I sing and kill and work: I am a pal of the world: I came from the wilderness.

I think he meant his own dad and dad’s kids since he capitalized it. Which means trag is grateful for trag.

Bought a 21 lb turkey a few weeks back in anticipation of annually hosting Thanksgiving.

Wife’s youngest sister’s family opting to visit her husband’s mom now instead of Xmas because of air fare.
Wife’s other sister’s family visiting her husband’s parents because the dad has dementia.
My sister’s family staying home because her mother-in-law died last month and the father-in-law would otherwise be alone.
My parents not coming because my sister isn’t and she is 40 minutes from them and I’m 3.5 hours.
Wife’s parents not coming because they’re still afraid of Covid.

No one is coming. It’s like 2020 all over again. All the sisters have legitimate reasons, but I’m pretty bitters about our parents.

I’m thankful for my little family tho. We’ll make the best of it.

Nothing to be sorry about, Lenny. I’ve got the family I made, and we’re going to watch soccer and football and eat a Thanksgiving meal and play Mario kart together. I’m genuinely so thankful I have them.
