Just listened to that one. I liked Slash's guitars yeah, it had some Estranged element to it.

Watching their 1997 mtv spring break show...damn this band. Scott was slim as fuck, he already seems like a different guy. I would think this is pretty close to their first break up maybe?

There are two videos on YouTube from 2020 where STP play “Core” and “Purple” live in their entirety, with album discussions between songs. They’re really good.

Yeah, no one can replace Scott, but Jeff tries and I think succeeds with capturing the spirit of the songs.

yeah, he is alright in terms of singing like him. I just wished those guys made better music after Scott. I still havent checked Perdida, but im not in a hurry at all.

Days of the Week has always been one of my faves from them. Not a big fan of the Shangrila album, but Days is a killer track

I can't defend Perdida, but IMHO these 3 post SW are great: Red & Blues, The Art of Letting Go, Thought She'd Be Mine.

i used to kinda hate Shangri La and then something clicked a long time ago, and i can see how amazing it is.

8 years today. I listen to more music he made than any other artist according to my Apple Music year-end report. He was so fucking great.
