Re: The Vinyl Thread: Still Listen On Wax, Don't Use The CD
A question for the more vinyl-knowledgeable folks here (I am very much a newbie). I want to buy this new pressing of an album by a string quartet. It's advertised as a "180 gram vinyl audiophile level" pressing. However, it is a 62 minute album stuffed into a single disc. Do you think this will cause problems? Or is the fact that it's just strings + vocals (not a very loud or bassy album) mean I shouldn't worry too much about that? Thanks

aside from the length question, the "180 gram audiophile level" is just marketing jargon and doesn't mean anything at allJorge wrote:A question for the more vinyl-knowledgeable folks here (I am very much a newbie). I imagined as much, but mentioned it on the off chance it was relevant

I heard Jack White opened an analog pressing plant where he just hired a really fat dude, strapped a master plate to his ass, and he sat on the vinyl
