About half way through. I really dig it. It's taking me forever to get through it but not because of the writing, just because of me. But it's interesting.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Looks cool. I hope it doesn't have too much of an anti-collapse bias.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I’m a bit embarrassed to ask this, but. My life/job the last decade or so hasn’t allowed me much free time to dedicate to reading. Not that I haven’t had free time, but other activities just take priority. Little by little, I’m trying to make reading a higher priority, but to be honest with you, I have no idea where to really dive in. It’s a bit overwhelming. Do you guys follow particular sites, blogs, or other recommendation channels? Or just go blindly into a store and pick out something that sounds interesting?

What type stuff do you enjoy? Non-fiction? Romance? Just find a section where your interests lie and see if anything jumps out at you.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

Re: What are you currently reading?
I guess it depends on what types of books you're into. I've read a few books based on posts in this thread, and I can usually rabbit-hole my way to other titles from there.
I'm also a big proponent of getting a library card because it's essentially free. If you already have one...even better. Usually, you can use the search features of your local library's website to browse by genre and find something that piques your interest.
I'm not a big tiktok person, but my wife has told me there's a booktok hashtag you can search for, and there are many people out there posting books they've read that they find interesting, etc.

Don't be embarrassed, please! This is a great question. I think this site might be a good place for you to look around:bodysnatcher wrote:I’m a bit embarrassed to ask this, but. Five books on each of a wide variety of topics, as recommended by tons of different experts in each field. The site is organized well, and it's easy to browse around, read a bit, and find topics, fiction or nonfiction, that are of interest to you. Great starting place
