I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I loved how she went from being seemingly hurt to just fine to weird in a moment.tragabigzanda wrote:Also Daphne slowly revealed as the most complex character, and the girl is a terrific actor

I'm sure you're right. Which is a bummer. However, it is a perfect representation of the whole season.Simple Torture wrote:Team Ethan Fucked Daphne

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
In the immediate aftermath of the episode, I wondered if it was left ambiguous so we'd wonder about it. After thinking about it for 5 more minutes after this post, I realized there was no other way to read it.Jorge wrote:Are people debating this? Tanya's death was pitch-perfect, I thought. The whole season was leading up to her Madame Butterfly-esque dramatic end, and then she bonks her head on a railing.

Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
I mean, it is "left ambiguous so we'd wonder about it" but it's also poorly done so that it doesn't actually make anyone wonder.Simple Torture wrote:In the immediate aftermath of the episode, I wondered if it was left ambiguous so we'd wonder about it. Team you on your second point. Though there was an element of cheapness to it for me only as a compare/contrast with the opening of the season. Not a total bait and switch but it got as close to that line as you can get without stepping over. It still works and it's fine. But it still bugs me a little bit (again, comparing the setup in ep1 to the reveal in the finale; not the actual death itself).
