It’s the best movie mentioned in this thread. Both Stewart and Reed were amazing, and Capra was pure magic.

It's not. And it's not even close.

Charlie Brown Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Christmas Vacation
Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Home Alone (I really only like the last bit with all the traps, but boy is that shit funny)

There are a handful already mentioned that I’ve still yet to see
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

I MIGHT like Home Alone 2 more than Home Alone.

But both are better than It's A Wonderful Life

Ha!

Fair. I just meant that he doesn't ruin the fun of the movie because he's so forgettable.

Die Hard is the closest. Two all time greats.

Of course rating movies is always subjective, but if we were to try to reach some objectivity in it you could look to ratings, success, critics etc. Pretty sure it’s rated highest on the big movie sites (like letterboxd, imdb - all time number 21 of all movies there). Ongoing success is up there with the best of the golden age of Hollywood considering its and their age, it’s remarkable.

I’m a sucker for classics. And this scratches my itch every year.

It's only been the past few years with my daughters that I've started watching Christmasy movies, so my list of ones that I come back to might be a little off

Bad Santa
Die Hard
Rare Exports
Elf
Joyeux Noel

What would your daughter rate Bad Santa?

She loves the bit with Lauren Graham doing the whole 'I'm F$%&ing Santa, I'm F$%&ing Santa'
