12 week race training block started predictably this morning... Our son woke with a fever, preventing me from getting out the door for a run before work. I may or may not run three miles after we close the restaurant tonight.

Been all treadmill so far. I love how just forces me to hit my paces, but boy does it suck running in a house with the heater on.

Those will not be worn for months. Will wear out my others first. I took a two hour nap after work, and said screw it i'll run tomorrow. Ate some dinner then later decided I'd try to run. It didn't work out very well. Hopefully I go tomorrow afternoon and find bountiful success.

Wasn't gonna run today. But then I saw a post from a friend who is training for a half and it got me out the door.

4.25 miles.

What's the temp there?

I'm planning on going out in a bit. Should be around 42 by then. At least it's sunny and little to no breeze.

Solid run. 3.11 in 28:27. I was hoping to keep the first two miles around 9:30 then turn it up on the third mile and last .10. My splits ended up being:

9:14
9:28
8:56
6:40

Inspiring work on this page.

I went out for a run today in 50 degree weather. I've learned not to need long sleeves for anything above 40. The first mile kind of sucks, but then it's perfect. Anything below 60 is "cold" for the average Texan, so it was funny to see everyone out there super bundled up in gear.

I feel like I'm finally back into a good routine. Week two of half marathon training. 16 miles planned for the week.

Get it.

Yesterday was around 41 and I was pretty bundled up. I’d rather not be, but it was the right move.

4 mile tempo run after an extra festive holiday party last night was enough to coax me back into training season sobriety. I hit my paces but that was ROUGH.

9:31
9:11
9:07
8:49

6.5miles @ a 9:41 pace this morning. Bright and early. Colder than I expected but overall not a bad run.

Nice work, fellas.

The high here will be 16 on Friday. I told some people I want to try to run in that just to say I did. Only like two miles. Might die.

I'm gonna get up and run again tomorrow. Thinking 4.5 but we'll see how it goes.
