Really like this album. Don't hate Future Days, but after a few listens I feel like the perfect closer to this album would be 1/2 Full.

Am I the only person who can't figure out My Father's Son. Something about it seems off. I can't place it, odd tempo and timing changes or something. Feels like they pieced 2 different songs together. I like it, but I have a what the fuck kind of song is this feeling when I listen to it.

I wrote something like that after the listening session. I forgot that is actually a good song. Even better when the language is not edited .
And BOB told that they do that: take cool pieces of music they have lying around and (re-)use them for songs. He talked about drum tracks, but I guess they do it with everything.

I can't believe I know that.

Stone seems older and wiser in a way I can perfectly appreciate. He seems like the most "intelligent" member of the band and I kind of wish he was friends enough with Ed that they would share leadership responsibilities. It seems to me he would be forcing more Jeff songs on records if that were the case.

The stalker in me feels like looking up the online profiles of said 'writer' just to discredit her . I did that with a bad writer in the Dutch press and it felt good to see that he just got out of high school so I could blame his youth and inexperience, and the magazine for hiring someone like that without educating them any further.
