I watched both Gremlins movies for the first time this year and they're both excellent.

They're so creative. I love animatronics and puppets in movies. It's obviously a massive pain in the ass, but it's so worth it.

There is something telling me to go see it, but I have no idea why. If it weren’t over three hours I’d be more likely to succumb to this thought.

Three hours is a big ask, it's true. I love going to the movies, but three hours is just too long, it is. I need to prepare by eating appropriately beforehand, not drinking for a while beforehand, peeing immediately beforehand. And the movie had better be good, to even think about justifying that

I wouldn't need to worry about eating food beforehand, but the peeing part is a legitimate concern. I'm not keen on just bringing a plastic bottle in case.

I really want to see it. I’ll go to the cinema, it opens here in January.

I’m quite critical of the Hobbit movies. The book is lovely.

Think this is the best of the three though.

Are you going to watch all three?

I tried watching them this year and couldn't make it past the first one.

I’ll watch the cinematic versions as part of their year (I’m watching many movies from one year at a time, 2012 now). Last time, a fee years ago, I saw the extended versions.
