I'm sure you've answered this question before, but are you just watching movies from your personal collection or are you using best of lists?

It’s a rule that I own the movie digitally (my dvds, blu-rays, streaming services, torrents or free online streaming don’t count). But all movies (now 2310) have been added in the past three years. I have tried adding the best of the best, as well as personal favorites, important genre movies, and all movies I’ve wanted to see.

It’s not some academic work or something, just for my personal interest and enjoyment (as well as that of my wife, that I watch about half the movies with).

So you loved it?

I'm still optimistically looking forward to it, but I'll probably wait until its available to watch at home.

I need a lot more time with it, to process and think about, but yes, my initial gut reaction is that it's fucking awesome.

Glad to hear it

On a scale of 1 to Caligula, how debaucherous was it?

Not the best movie I’ve seen, but I can appreciate the effort that went into making it. The sets, the costumes, the music, the effects.

I remember liking that one. Definitely the best example of Joe Wright-maximalism adding up to more than the sum of its parts

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower

9th last 2012 movie. Loved this when I saw it in 2013. Not seen it since.
