This movie is so much better than Once Upon a Time it's not even funny.

I fully understand that's not a take anyone here (or anywhere really) will appreciate or take seriously, but it's the fucking truth.

I thought you were supposed to be more of a "art quality is subjective" kind of guy. Plus, you generally don't like Tarantino.

I wouldn’t argue that the story it wants to tell is worse than Once Upon a Time…but it’s just the execution for me.

There isn't much of a story. There something happening underneath and around all that spectacle, but it isn't much

Doctor Sleep. This movie is kind of a mess. Ewan McGregor's performance is subpar. Child acting is also bad. I blame the directing. I enjoyed some of it, but a lot of it feels pointless, aside from "remember The Shining?". Stupid movie overall.

Would you consider it more just a series of events?

I am 100% fully in the "art is subjective" camp. I am also 100% not a Tarantino guy. I'm also 100% prone to hyperbole.

Thought both were worth watching, but nothing special. The Clint movie had a disney-like happy ending. Killing Them Softly should have been built around Pitt fron the very first scene.

Tommy's on the team with us. And I remember that Malloy likes Scoot thanks to this movie, though I'm not sure if he loves the movie as a whole as we do

Mud will be the final 2012 movie on my list. Will watch that later or tomorrow, and then advance to 2013.
