Guys, Albie demonstrated how vastly different his personality is from his father's and grandfather's time and time again throughout the season, there's no way he just all of a sudden does a 180 and becomes a chauvinist in the end.

I actually think that the show is trying to say the opposite. It's not that it's instant. He's not his father in the final moments. But on the long timeline...

I really feel for Portia at the end.

It's an interesting theory, but I don't think anything directly tells us it's in his character to follow in the other men's footsteps. I feel his intentions are good throughout the show, and so he will continue with that trajectory after the credits. "White Knighting" isn't at all necessarily a dark path.
