I just watched Barbarian cause it was so high on your lists. It was OK. Kinda funny, I liked the monster(s) and the gags, but I'd like it to be longer and more hashed out. We barely even see much of the one creepy dude, who I assume is that old man's son. It has a fun style, but felt a little shallow to me.

I feel part of the charming of the movie is that’s basically two different movies in one. And watching that in the cinema when you knew little to nothing bout it felt super fresh and fun.

X was a fun watch. It was entertaining, but it also felt shallow. I can see how this would be a fun horror movie to watch with a group of people, but it just doesn't have enough creativity or depth for me to call it a great movie.

I watched it again and Barbarian is my movie of the year, I think. In the Horror category for sure.
