A while back (2-3 years?) my dad got me and Mrs. Bam a $100 gift card to Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. Now, steak is absolutely not Mrs. Bam’s thing - not even a little bit. So I told dad we can use it together sometime.

Sometime was tonight. We open the menu and he all but fainted, not realizing that a steak starts at about $60. He was sure $100 would be plenty for dinner for two with some $ to spare.

Lol after the gift card was applied I still paid $112.

Great story. I’m assuming you went with strip, what cut did dad get?

We both had NY strips. He tried to order his medium well and I told him the chef might spit on it, convinced him to go medium.
