What are the complaints against McCarthy?

It's been floated that the House vote to change the rules for House Speaker to a mere formality so the anti-McCarthy faction has to choose between a Democratic speaker or McCarthy. Are there votes for such a rule change?

i think he rubbed some people the wrong way when he (through his PACs) tried to prop up more moderate republican candidates. even though part of his grand bargain with the holdouts last night was that that money wouldn't go towards open primaries, some of those holdouts thought the damage was done.

if you lie about your ethnicity, your wealth, your family, your resume, and so on...it's highly likely you're lying about your real name.

He’s already lied about voting no for the omnibus bill on 12/23/22 according to his official House website.

Does that mean it's OK for us to laugh at Republican dysfunction again?
Sure it does, but I could see this happening with the Dems at some point, too. Not now, of course, I just liken this political in fighting to political parties in general.
