went with a different Carpenter. One I thought my stepson might enjoy...Big Trouble in Little China.

I used to watch it all the time as a kid. I still love it.

thats also one of my favs...i remember being so surprised Kurt Russell was such a dork there. He had the worst ideas always. And being so impressed with the magical element of the story...that fucking guy who explodes? what the fuuuuuck

I was just telling my wife that whenever it came on TV I would watch it...no matter where it was in the movie. I was always awestruck by those three guys, Lopan, and Egg Shen. Russell is corny but hilarious. I love it all.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I love The Thing but never likes Big Trouble. Always felt like a hokey Last Dragon to me (as an 8 year old)

The Last Dragon is dope too, but it doesn't have a six demon bag.
