Watching I Am Yours

After this one I’ve got 50 movies left from 2013. 20 I’ve never seen before, and 30 rewatches.

Have finished most of the lower rated movies, and the Norwegian movies. Best new movie so far has been The Best Offer.

i liked it enough but it got me a little bored towards the end.
I wasn't a great fan of it, but I am a bit surprised at how absent it is has been from end-of-2022 this-year-in-cinema discussions. It's almost already forgotten, but it was highly anticipated
yeah, true. I dont think its a great film. Its not something ill re watch. But i liked it enough.

Resurrection in the other hand, its fucking amazing and im still blown away with Rebecca Hall´s work. She should be nominated for everything but of course, this being a genre film, she wont.

They will nominate some ¨brave¨ actress from She Said or something.
BONE FUCKIN´ TOMAHAWK.

Ok Mad God was incredible. Disgustingly beautiful. Enjoyably depressing. Magically delicious.

A lot of things get squished in this movie!

Loved it, but I might have to put on some Bob’s Burgers now. That was bleak. And gross. But also sort of weirdly poignant and moving.

Okay, Resurrection was amazing. What a gripping movie. VG is right, Rebecca Hall deserves every award.

It's funny that in the span of 24 hours I watched three movies about women coming undone as they confront past traumas. My ranking for these three movies would be:

1. Men - Full of surrealist beauty
2. Resurrection - One of the most intense thrillers I've seen in a long time
3. Smile - Pulpy, kind of like a horror movie from the early 2000s

All three are good, but Smile feels like a kid's movie compared to the other two

This happens often with film festival films. It's so annoying.

I watched it in 2021 so to me it's a 2021 release but a lot more people watched it when it came out on streaming this year

LV's rule was the first non-festival US release date listed on IMDb, which would be 2022. That's my recollection of LV's rules, at least

If you have the tab for the Mad God IMDb page open in your browser the tab says "Mad God (2021) - IMDb", so no, no, that rule is no good.

It played a bunch of festivals in 2021. But if you go the more detailed release date page, that's the one I'm talking about.
