Re: What movies are you watching?
But not only did it play a bunch of festivals in 2021, it also toured a bunch of cities. Seems extremely weird to call it a 2022 movie when you could buy a (non festival) ticket to see it in 2021

Re: What movies are you watching?
It’s a 2021 movie, no doubt about it.
There are a very few movies that go by different years on various places, that’s annoying.

Given that it took him 30 years to make, a year or two isn't going to make much difference.

Watched Whiplash with my wife and my oldest son. It was on the list of movies my wife and I wanted to watch, and he mentioned wanting to see it as well.
I take back what I said about Miles Teller having a punchable face. I liked the movie more than I thought I would.

He does have a punchable face, but at least he’s a very good actor.dad wrote:Watched Whiplash with my wife and my oldest son. It was on the list of movies my wife and I wanted to watch, and he mentioned wanting to see it as well.

Not in love with this, but I did enjoy it more than when I saw it stuck in a cinema. Could just enjoy it for what it was today.Anders wrote:The Great Gatsby

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
