Be seated.

The intro is pretty great. The slow approach flying through the mist and clouds through coruscant is beautiful.

Then it all goes to shit the moment they land and you don’t even buy Padmes in any danger really. But the fly through bit is great.

Yeah, for some reason as soon as they got out of the ship I had a feeling the movie was going to be shit. Still tied with Rogue One for my least favorite SW film.

You don't see R1 at the bottom of many lists.

Haven't watched Andor because I didn't like his character in R1. But had a conversation with someone at a Christmas party that told me I would enjoy it anyway.

Haven't watched Kenobi or Boba Fett either - mainly because of the very mixed things I heard about them.

Did watch both seasons of The Mandalorian and loved it.

Mando is amazing no doubt.

You may need to watch Book of boba Fett if u r planning on watching Mando season 3.

It’s kind of like a Mando season 2.5 and progresses the story of Grogu/Mando from the Mando season 2 finale.

And it’s kick ass

i don't think i've ever seen this take before. what an strange opinion.

clones is the worst star wars film and until ep. IX came along it didn't have any competition for that crown. i don't think i will ever understand how people can rate ep. I lower than aotc. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jar Jar
jar jar is the lowest hanging fruit in this argument. his presence is egregiously bad and annoying, yes. i still don't think jar jar sinks menace deep enough to make menace a worse movie than clones.

imo menace has significantly higher highs - neeson's performance as qui-gon, the presence of maul, duel of the fates - than clones. clones barely has any highs, and while its lows may not be consistently jar jar level low, they are rightfully shit on even today for just how bad they are, just like jar jar is. in other words, menace has wider quality swings but it's average still exceeds the average quality of clones. clones is just a total slog to watch with hardly any palpable excitement generated and no actors like neeson carrying the burden of the film, leaving the bad stuff to really sink it.

let me be clear that menace is not at all a good movie, either. it's just not as bad as clones, and i don't think it's that close, so i will never really understand those who feel the opposite is true. i definitely will never understand how someone can rank rogue one as tied for worst star wars film with clones. at least i can agree that clones is the worst, though.

Sith is my least favorite of the prequels. But I think they're all pretty close. None of them is far and away better or worse than the others for me. I prefer Clones but I have no beef with folks who rank Menace higher.
