Re: Lenny's California adventure!
I went on that cruise to Alaska over the summer. One of our bags never made it to our room on the 11th deck. I had to go all the way down to customer service on the 4th deck to get it. Nightmare.

can't recommend them enough. used them this trip first time, one of our bags didn't make it on the first plane out of chicago, and can verify that the airline never has real time location of your luggage.VinylGuy wrote:i didnt know bout those AirTag thing....they look useful.
the case arrived in australia a day after us, for instance, but the airline still showed it in LA. then we tracked it around the greater melbourne area for two days before it was finally delivered to us.

reports so far mention no leaks....years ago we flew to Florence, Italy and they lost my luggage but my wife had hers..booking through AMEX they gave me $500 right away to buy some clothes..I purchased 5 pairs of boxers, a pair of jeans and a sweater..my wife used the remaining money to buy a jacket..my luggage arrived the day before we were leaving for home 12 days later...spike wrote:RIP doug's actual housedoug rr wrote:are you in San Fran?

And I would think a perk of first class would be to never have lost luggage.

Re: Lenny's California adventure!
it's crazy how fast the trains are now. i remember it being a 2 hr 45 min train from rome to florence back in the late 90's. it's now an hour and 20 minutes.doug rr wrote:we've taken the train the last 2 times since then..it was the first time there from a flight from jfk..Chris_H_2 wrote:it probably took you an hour longer to fly than to take the traindoug rr wrote:it was a short flight from Rome to Florence..I don't know what happened..there was no business or first on that flight..and they were no help whatsoever at the airportwease wrote:What did you need it for? We convoyed from Tuscany to Lake Como, and the bullet trains were just wizzing by us. So frustrating.Chris_H_2 wrote:it's crazy how fast the trains are now. i remember it being a 2 hr 45 min train from rome to florence back in the late 90's. it's now an hour and 20 minutes.doug rr wrote:we've taken the train the last 2 times since then..it was the first time there from a flight from jfk..Chris_H_2 wrote:it probably took you an hour longer to fly than to take the traindoug rr wrote:it was a short flight from Rome to Florence..I don't know what happened..there was no business or first on that flight..and they were no help whatsoever at the airportwease wrote:What did you need it for?
