Unless having someone other than me do it is what you’re getting at, I’m not sure what you’re saying.

im guessing a little more vetting of backgrounds to make sure they are an ideal candidate instead of the only candidate
Our recruiters vet the providers. They’re the only candidates that ARE vetted.

With this guy, when i interviewed him it was in a center. We were all wearing masks and he wore one in our required areas. He said nothing about it at the time and it was a great interview. Who know what happened between when he accepted the offer and yesterday. Maybe nothing but it would’ve been nice to know BEFORE we had started the process.

my last job that i worked at during the initial hiring process it came down to me and another candidate. we were both equally qualified and the only difference was he was unemployed and could start asap. i told them during the interview that i would be able to start right away but preferred to give two weeks notice as i felt any company would prefer a two weeks notice even the company i was interviewing with.

well they went with the other guy and first day of orientation during the break he said he was going to have a smoke break and they informed him there is no smoking on campus outside the buildings and he would have to go to his car. guy totally flipped out and had to be escorted off the premise. i was called in two days later and offered the job.

yay smokers

Sounds like a good opportunity to nails their balls to the wall over compensation before you accept.

Everything rolling along smooth and then yesterday he sends me an email saying he’s retiring from healthcare but ethically he cannot practice medicine by promoting unhealthy practices such as wearing masks to patients. And he will never wear a mask again.

Our company still requires employees to wear masks.

I suspect bammer had a hand in this.

Had a manager turn in a one-week notice last Friday with tomorrow being her last day. She was pretty pissed when she was told she would lose her PTO due to not giving the 30-day notice required of management.

Had a MA turn in a one-day notice yesterday with today being his final shift. He’s been looking since before the holidays so I knew it was a matter of time before he left. He was pissed because I wrote him up for his shitty attendance.

After their shifts last night they decided they wouldn’t be back. And didn’t tell anyone. So I’m at the center this morning and no one’s showing up then the manager sends me screen shots of the email she wrote last night but “forgot” to send telling me they both wouldn’t be back. She flat out told me 2 weeks ago that she was looking elsewhere for a job and was upset that all I said was “ok, resignation accepted” after I received her email. I guess she was wanting me to throw money at her and beg her to stay. Didn’t happen.

The center’s better off without both of them. Sure has sucked today tho.

I'm kind of curious to know if some of these people:

- are burned out from the last three years.
- are in it for access to drugs.
- are people who were hired for jobs they were overqualified/not qualified for.
- are in it for access to drugs.

Definitely a factor
We don’t have any kind of controlled meds on premises. Strongest thing we have is ibuprofen
Hired for right job. Probably shouldn’t have been promoted

Other than names and such, you have all the information

Honestly this office has had a toxic attitude for a while now and the three that were primarily responsible are all gone now. I’ve got great new people in there with great attitudes and there’s nowhere to go but up.
