"art" is such a hideous sound for something that's supposed to be about beauty or importance or whatever. Whoever gave it that name should be shot.

He didn't stay married to my aunt long enough for me to find out. I was a little kid when they divorced.

I'll take a guess. He worked for an insurance company.

(The characters are sitting in a living room, discussing art. BurtReynolds is sitting in a corner, scowling, while Tree is fidgeting excitedly on the couch. JuanHamm is lounging on an armchair, looking mischievous, while Argo is sitting nervously on the edge of the couch. Dad is sitting in a rocking chair, and Bada is sprawled out on the floor.)

Dad: "Alright, everyone, let's have a civilized debate about the meaning of art. BurtReynolds, I know you have some strong opinions on the topic, so why don't you start us off?"

BurtReynolds: "Art is a bunch of elitist nonsense. It's just something that rich people use to show off their wealth and status. It's got nothing to do with real life."

Tree: "Oh, I don't know about that, Burt. I think art is really cool. It's like, a way for people to express themselves, you know?"

JuanHamm: "Sure, but it's also a way for rich people to make even more money. Have you seen the prices of some of these art pieces? It's ridiculous."

Argo: "I don't know, I think art has a lot of value. It can be therapeutic for the artist and the viewer. Plus, it can be really beautiful."

Bada: "I think art is just an excuse to stare at naked bodies, am I right guys?"

Dad: "Now, now, Bada, let's try to keep this discussion serious. Burt, while it's true that some art is used to display wealth and status, there is more to it than that. Art is a way for humans to express themselves, to communicate ideas and emotions, and to connect with others. It has been an important part of human culture throughout history, and will likely continue to be so."

BurtReynolds: "I don't know, and I don't care. It's all pointless."

Argo: "I disagree, Burt. Art can be really meaningful, and it can make a difference in people's lives."

JuanHamm: "Well, I think that art's role and value can be different depending on the society and historical context. But, I think that the artist's intent should be considered as well."

Dad: "Exactly. People may have different opinions about what art is and why it matters, but one thing is certain: it is a vital part of the human experience."

(Tree starts to nod off and falls asleep)

Argo: "Is Tree okay?"

Dad: "I think he's just tired. Let's give him a moment"

(They all keep discussing, but Tree starts to dream)

(Tree's dream sequence begins)
Tree is walking in a vast desert, all around him are hundreds of mirrors of different sizes, some are huge and others are small, and all of them are reflecting different images of art.
He then sees a person in the distance, and starts to walk towards the figure. As he approaches, he realizes that it's a version of himself. This version of himself is holding a paintbrush and a canvas, painting a beautiful sunset.
Tree: "What are you doing?"
Other Tree: "I'm painting my feelings, my emotions and my thoughts. I'm creating art."
Tree: "I don't get it, isn't art just something people use to show off?"
Other Tree: "Not at all, it's a way to express ourselves, to communicate and to connect with others. It's something that makes life more meaningful and beautiful."
Tree: "I see, I understand now."
(Tree wakes up)

Tree: "Wow, I just had a dream, it was so surreal, but it made me see things in a different way. I think I get it now, art is a way to express ourselves, to communicate and connect with others. It's something that makes life more meaningful and beautiful."

(Everyone looks at Tree, surprised)

Dad: "I'm glad you had that realization, Tree. And now, let's continue our conversation, with a different perspective."
