I now have a PT and 2 sessions a week. Just finished day the first. I'm a tad sore, but in a good way (I think).

DOMS is good. Just means that whatever you're doing, it's working.

My gym moved into their new facility this week. It’s fancy & modern but going to take some getting use to.

My pathetic bench continues to get slightly less pathetic. 235x3. So there's that.

100+kg on the bench is far from pathetic.

That's true but for the amount of time and energy and training I've done it's not very good. My squat and dead are both much better. So my bench is terrible relative to the other two.

Squat/bench/deadlift

My squat lifetime PR is 405 but that was like 5 years ago. I just started squatting consistently again in the last six months.

Oh that's great.

I've found a good groove with doing the elliptical and then lifting weights afterward. Looking at your weightlifting #'s makes me think that I can push myself to do more.

my wife commented on my six pack, which i attribute mostly to coughing from smoking pot. i would encourage everyone to take a big bong hit after your workout.

Calorie-burning tip given me by competitive body builders: do your weight training before cardio. You body continues to burn more calories after the weight training but as soon as you stop cardio, calorie-burning stops. If you do weights first, as you do cardio, your body will continue to burn from the weight training and will go thru the calories at a greater rate.

Interesting. I knew that you burned calories after weight lifting vs. cardio but did not know about switch it up, I shall try it.
